The Jarvis Township Road District Commissioner has the responsibility of managing all Township roadways within Jarvis Township, except those maintained by the State of IL, Madison County, and those inside the incorporated areas of the City Troy. The Road Commissioner oversees construction, maintenance and repair of roads, contracts, employs labor and purchases materials and machinery. Services include road and gutter maintenance, street sweeping, snow removal, ice control, and mowing.

Republic Services is the Jarvis Township waste hauler and offers large item pickup all year to unincorporated residents.
Call Republic Services at (618) 656-6883 to schedule pickup of furniture, carpet, toilets, etc., and other large items.
