NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
to the legal voters, residents of the Township of Jarvis in the County of Madison and State of Illinois, that the Annual Township Meeting of said Township will take place on:
Tuesday, April 14, 2026
being the second Tuesday of said month
at the hour of 7:00 PM at
112 N. Main Street, Troy, IL
for the transaction of the miscellaneous business of the Township; and, after a Moderator having been elected, will proceed to hear and consider reports of officers, and decide on such measures as may, in pursuance of law, come before the meeting; and especially to consider and decide the following:
- Minutes of the 2025 Annual Town Meeting
- Approval of the 2026/2027 calendar of all regular and special meetings of the Township (presently set for the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00p)
- Approval of the setting of the 2027 Annual Township Meeting for April 13, 2027 at 7:00p
- Presentation of Supervisor’s Annual Financial Reports
- Presentation of Highway Commissioners Equipment Report
- Appointment of a Weed Control Superintendent for 2026/2027
- Approval of a Resolution for the Transfer of Township Funds from the Special Bridge Fund to the Road & Bridge Fund
- Open Discussion of Topics proposed by Jarvis Township Electors prior to March 1, 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
The 2026-2027 Jarvis Township and Jarvis Road & Bridge tentative budgets are available for review at the Jarvis Township Supervisor’s Office, 112 N. Main Street, Troy, IL effective March 18th. The Supervisor is in the office on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Budget Hearing to adopt the Township Budget will be held on April 21, 2026, at 7:00 pm at the Jarvis Township Office. The Township budget and Road & Bridge budget are also available for review online here.
